Deadline Movie Premiere

The Providence Premiere of Deadline, the new movie starring Steve Talley and Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts, was Friday, April 15th at Providence Place Cinemas 16 and IMAX 10.

"Our Providence premiere was the culmination of several years of passionate effort that began at our high school reunion," said Deadline director Curt Hahn. "That's when Mark and I first spoke of making his novel Grievances into a movie."

"Deadline is inspired by a true story I worked on as a reporter about the murder of an African-American teenager that goes unpunished, uninvestigated and unsolved until the press and public step in - an unfortunate, continuing theme in the history of race relations in America," said author and screenwriter Mark Ethridge.

The red carpet arrivals provided an opportunity to meet the cast and filmmakers beginning at 6:00 with the premiere at 7:00. After the movie Ethridge was joined by cast members for a Q&A. You may watch the trailer and read quotes and reviews below.
