Deadline Movie Premiere
Benefiting Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas
The Austin Premiere of Deadline, the new movie starring Steve Talley and Academy Award nominee Eric Roberts, is Wednesday, Feb 29th. Hosted by The Austin American-Statesman, the premiere will benefit Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas.

“We’re proud to host the Austin premiere of Deadline, a film that demonstrates the power of local press as two newspaper reporters solve a cold case civil rights murder,” said Kelly Garrott, Community Development Coordinator for The Austin American-Statesman. “We look forward to a captivating evening and are pleased to donate all proceeds to the Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas.” Tickets to the Deadline Premiere start at $25, with the option to make larger sponsor-level contributions. The red carpet arrivals begin at 6:00 with the Deadline premiere at 7:00. A Q&A with cast members, the reporter who lived and wrote the story Mark Ethridge and director Curt Hahn will follow the premiere.
Proceeds will benefit Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas. Providing outstanding care for babies, children and teenagers from a 46-county area, Dell Children’s is the premier health care provider for children in Central Texas. The numbers of families seeking care for their children has greatly exceeded projections so proceeds will help construct a new, 3-story wing that will add 72 additional patient beds and bring the latest new pediatric services to Central Texas. Dell Children’s is a member of the non-profit Seton Healthcare Family.
